Choo Choo Train

After a visit to one of our local malls and being greatly disappointed by the little train ride they offer, we decided to visit our local train station ride the BIG train. I do not know who had more fun, Nicholas or Alexis! Nicholas stood in his seat the entire time looking out the window and jumping up and down while Alexis just kept on and on "Mommy we're moving", "Mommy Look" and it did not stop thru the entire trip.

It was the best $6 I have spent in a long time!

Color The World Beautiful

We have some beautiful flowers growing around outside my house! I enjoy going outside so much each day, looking at all the colors remind me how beautiful the world can be this time of the year!

Lovin The Weather & Playtime Outside

This weather has been great! Me and the kids have been getting plenty of outside play time. We have planted a vegetable garden, started 3 new flower bed and filled them with lots of beautiful flowers and have been spending time playing with the dogs, the chicks and the goats!
It has been wonderful.

Another Birthday Party for Little Man

Every year my mother-in-law bakes cakes for each of us as a special birthday present from her. Since I always buy special cakes for my kids birthdays we do a second party for them at Mamaw & Papaw's house with her special cake (which, let me tell you, my mother-in-law can bake some dang good cakes!).
Anyway, over the weekend we had a second party for Nicholas to celebrate his turning he big 1! Since my sister-in-law and I have April birthdays, we got the pleasure of having our names on the cake as well!

Here are a couple of pictures.

Happy 1st Birthday Nicholas!

I cannot believe it, it has been a year since I first saw my little mans face!

He has grown so fast and never ceases to amaze me. Every day he does or says something something new. He is learning so much so fast and is not my little baby anymore, he is really my little man!

From talking to walking to having a mouth full of teeth, WOW!

I would like to take a minute and give a few shout-outs. First I want to Thank God for blessing me with my little man. Second I would like to Thank Dr. Jones for helping to get him here. And last but most certainly not least, I would like to Thank Dr. Greg P. Guerriero for seeing Nicholas thru the 1st year of his life (I cannot say enough about Dr. Greg, he is the best pediatric doctor I have ever had the pleasure of dealing with)!

Sick Baby Again

Well after 7 1/2 months of my little man having ear infection on top of ear infection, the doctors have finally decided to send him to a ENT to have tubes in his ears.

While I am going to be glad that the ear infections will stop, I cannot help but be sad that my baby is going to have to go thru this. I questioned the doctor today as to what I could have done different to prevent this or what I could start doing to make it better. He told me that there was nothing I could have or could possible do. Some children are just do not develop soemthing in their ears until later on that helps keep the fluid drained in their ears.

And to make things even worse, we are celebrating his first birthday this month and he will be having his surgery within a week of his birthday. What a crappy birthday present!

So please keep Nicholas is your prayers!

Till Death Do Us Part

Today one of my dearest friends got married. It was a last minute thing as the wedding was not suppose to be until later this year, but after a series of events, the plans were excelerated.

She married a great man. They are absolutely perfect for each other. I was so happy for her. I even cried when she was saying her vows. It was the sweetest thing when she and John looked into each others eyes and both of them teared up.

I know that she and several of our friends keep up with my blog and I would like to ask each of our friends to say a prayer for them tonight, blessing their marriage and asking God to give them many good years together.

Tanya & John, I want you both to know that I love you very much and Tanya, I am proud of you for finally finding the "right one". I know that God will be with you always and bless your marriage for all the years of your life!
