Crazy Days, Crazy Moments

It has been a little more than a week since I last posted a blog, I have been running around in so many directions that getting on the computer at night has just seemed like more of a chore than something that I would enjoy doing. I have actually enjoyed going to bed and trying to get some rest.

Alexis turned 2 last Wednesday and I feel like I have run myself ragged trying to get ready for her party. Even with a low key party plan we ended up with 41 people. We were planning on 40-45 so I bought enough food to feed an army! So if you are in the area and are craving a hot dog, I know where you can get one (HA HA HA).

Alexis's party turned out great and she got everything and more that she could have wanted. Now mommy just has to find a place to put all of it, and just think about this...Christmas is only 3 months away MORE STUFF! We need a play room for the kids!! By the way, THANK YOU to everyone who came to the party and THANK YOU for all the wonderful gifts that you bought her!

Here are a couple of picture, I will post more later (need to upload from my camera). Oh, if you took pictures at the party, please email them to me or burn them on a disc and mail it to me. I would love to keep a copy of all the pictures on a disk in her baby book.

Maggie Valley - Fall 2008

We took a trip to Maggie Valley this past weekend and I almost did not come home! It is so beautiful up there this time of year. And so peaceful, it is almost like living in a different world. My aunt and uncle have a beautiful home that has a creek and island behind it and every chance I get to go up there, I am gone!

It was a great weekend for relaxing. We got out the stroller and walked thru downtown Maggie Valley, we did some Christmas shopping, we ate some REALLY great food. It was awesome. I cannot wait until Thanksgiving to go back again.

God Parents

Danny & Jill, Doug's 2nd cousin and his wife are Alexis and Nicholas's God Parents. They are some of the best people I have ever met and I love spending time with them! We went over the other night because the guys were getting ready to go to the hunting land (which we women could care less about, but it gives us an excuse to get together and gossip while the guys do their thing). So I took a couple of pix while we were there. They have a daughter, Hailey and Alexis just adores her!

Play Date with JNF

My good friend Sarah and have have children very close in age, so we try to have play dates with them every so often. We are both stay at home mothers and it is nice to let the children play and get the opportunity to have adult talk time as well. Which, if you are or have ever been a stay at home mom, you know that adult talk time is not something you get very often! So, we had a play date one day last week. They played so well together.

After playtime, they shared a PB&J sandwich and then time to head home for nap!
